Online Training - MModal Fluency Direct

MModal Fluency Direct is a voice-to-text software solution that enhances Cerner PowerNote. Using a hand held microphone, the physician is able to dictate directly into the EMR’s PowerNote free text areas, reducing or even eliminating the need for typing. Physicians who have been assigned a Fluency Direct License will able to use Fluency Direct with PowerNote from the hospital, home, or office.

Domains

Domains

Domains are used to ensure recognition. The default domain is General Medicine. Users have the option to select specific vocabulary domains related to their field. Each domain will download and install a specific recognizer that increases accuracy and speed of recognition.

We recommend that you select your specific domain, or most common domain, prior to enrollment. As you are working, you can switch domains to ensure the best recognition possible. To install a domain, click the install button next to the desired domain. Fluency Direct will download and install that specific domain. Once additional domains are available, you can choose the desired domain by selecting the radio button next to that domain name.
